Position Purpose:

Play a key role in the planning, forecasting and working cross-functionally to optimize inventory performance for multiple merchandising categories. This role adds value to the organization by guiding business decisions, using insight from financial analysis that combines various sources of data, historical performance and business trends.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage internal relationships as part of a cross-functional team
  • Accurately manage an inventory forecast based on historical information while incorporating insights from business partners and system reports
  • Provide insightful analytics and commentary to explain major trends and recommend actions
  • Develop and automate reporting that effectively tracks and communicates results to all levels
  • Directly influence merchandising and replenishment strategies that drive sales and purchases
  • On a monthly basis interact with senior leadership on your forecast and initiatives
  • Bi-annually drive a comprehensive budget which balances divisional targets with the merchandising activities
  • Communicate risks and opportunities and recommend mitigating actions
  • Participate in various ad-hoc projects within the finance team
Knowledge/Experience Required:

  • Internal Candidates: Must fulfill minimum time-in-position (1 year) and performance management code requirements (M+, Meets Expectations and Consistently Demonstrates
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience.
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
  • Demonstrate expertise in business analysis and financial modeling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels.
  • Prioritize effectively and produce high quality work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to driving business results.
  • Develop creative solutions to problems.
  • Must be able to manipulate complex data sets using Microsoft Excel and various software tools.
  • SAP, Tableau, and Alteryx experience an asset.
  • Supply chain experience an asset.
